Project Description

THE ROMAN BATHS

Located in Bath, England, the Roman Baths are described as “the best preserved Roman religious site from the ancient world.” One of the United Kingdom’s largest tourist sites, receiving well over 1 million visitors a year, the Baths were discovered and explored only in the late 19th century, and much of the Roman Baths extend under modern ground level, beneath adjacent streets and squares. The site takes visitors inside the underground area as well as outdoors into the open-air spaces.

Acoustiguide has worked with the Roman Baths since 1995. With over a 95% pick-up rate,  Acoustiguide’s tours have been heard by over 18 million visitors.

  • Acoustiguide has created several engaging and informative multimedia tours for Roman Baths in 12 languages (English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish).

  • Additional tours include a children’s audio guide that features dramatic stories about the site as told by fictitious young Roman characters.

  • Day-to-day, there is fleet of more than 1400 Opus+ units on site.
