We are recruiting for a Digital Media Coordinator to join our Creative Team in our London office, to help produce and deliver content for our apps, audio and multimedia guides in multiple languages for a range of visitor attractions including renowned museums, art galleries and historic sites.

You would be part of a small, friendly team of in-house staff and freelancers working together to deliver high quality audio visual content.

This would be an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate in the field of digital media or content management, or person with relevant experience in the area, and a strong interest in Arts & Heritage.

Acoustiguide Ltd is a leading supplier of multimedia guides to museums and attractions throughout the UK, Ireland and the world.

Acoustiguide creates multimedia and multilingual content and produces the hardware and software for handheld devices. It also produces apps and content for use on commercially available handheld devices such as iPods and Smartphones.

Our office is a small busy office in Bloomsbury a short walk from King’s Cross, Chancery Lane and Farringdon stations.

Role and Responsibilities

The Digital Media Coordinator will be working as an essential member of the creative production team producing and managing the multimedia content, reporting to the project managers.

The main responsibility of this role is the preparation of all Media (audio, video, images, text) assets for use in 2 proprietary content management systems.

This includes preparing and programming both audio and visual content provided by clients or creative team for our content management system and finally managing an immaculate digital library.

This role would suit someone who is tech savvy, enthusiastic, proactive and resourceful.

There is a possibility for this role to evolve to encompass other skills the candidate brings with them – areas of interest are film making, editing, animation, basic coding, app project management.

Speaking or having an ear for different languages would be very useful. An interest in the museum and heritage industry, photography, music, art and history, knowledge of other languages would also be an advantage.

Knowledge base

  • Photoshop and of Adobe creative suite would be ideal – room to learn
  • MS Office suite – in particular Outlook, Word and Excel and databases.
  • Digital Archive maintenance – image, video and audio – methodical filing
  • Content Management System experience – in house training will be provided
  • Video Edit software knowledge for basic video edits – SONY VEGAS is current software
  • Audio Edit software knowledge for basic audio edits using Audacity
  • Experience creating mock-up illustrations like wireframes for apps – manipulating smartphone screen shots as part of our bidding and new business efforts
  • Desirable: speaking another language

General skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail – audio recording checking, file naming, record keeping and database management in excel, some metadata inputting.
  • Good communication skills with colleagues, other teams and clients
  • Pleasing digital Design / layout awareness
  • Open to learning new software
  • Enjoy working on a variety of subject matter
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative as well as part of a team

Daily tasks

  • Preparation and creation of images, title screens for our in house devices – gathering source images, resizing and screen designs
  • Converting audio files to different formats
  • Preparation of assets for use in iOS and Android Apps
  • Programming of content onto devices using the content asset management system.
  • Quality control of media assets – audio recordings, image quality
  • Organisation and maintenance of the digital library – archive system
  • General administration as part of the production team

Occasional tasks

  • App marketing on iTunes/Google Play and all liaising with Apple/Google for app submissions throughout the approval process
  • Some direct contact with clients
  • Site visits
  • Sales Presentations – to support sales team
  • Occasional demo reel creation

We are recruiting for a Senior Project and Production Manager to lead our busy Creative Team in our London office to oversee the production and delivery of content for our audio guides and multimedia apps in multiple languages – from concept development to launch onsite or online.

You would lead a small but friendly team of in-house staff and freelancers and manage your own content creation projects from our office in Bloomsbury. The role also involves some travel within the UK/Ireland to visit new and existing clients, and regular visits to recording studios in central-London.

This would be an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager with a background in audio and multimedia production who has a passion for the arts and languages. Training provided.

Person specification

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years’ experience in a project/production management role who is able to deliver projects on time, within budget balancing creativity with quality in the deliverables.

The role would suit someone who has can do attitude with a good balance of organisational skills and is confident communicating to a wide variety of people and nationalities.   The role is to create and deliver content – mainly – audio and image files for use on the multimedia device, this could be a 30 minute English language tour for a temporary exhibition or a 60 minute tour in 12 languages for major London museum.

An interest in museums and heritage as well as one or more foreign languages (esp. French, Spanish or German) would be a great advantage. An understanding of the development process in creating smartphone apps would be very desirable.

The Senior project manager would be as part of a small creative team, working closely with the client managers, and you will be responsible for your own projects as well as providing guidance, decisions and delegating to your partner Production and Project Manager and the Digital Media Coordinator.

Essential Skills

  • Software and Technical knowledge: Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel essential).  A sound understanding of CMS systems.
  • Project management and organisational skills: Scheduling, budgeting, scoping, client and internal team management and coordinating simultaneous projects.
  • Aptitude for generating creative solutions
  • Solid language skills – Fluency in at least one other language
  • Script development and text editing skills – ability to review structure, revisions, translation/ localisation supervision, proof-reading.
  • Some experience producing voice-over audio recordings – to direct voice-over artists in a studio on accuracy, delivery style and pronunciations. Understanding of audio file formats.
  • Strong communication skills including listening to the clients’ needs and briefing writers
  • An understanding of digital asset creation process for APPs – Photos and graphics, animation, video formats.


  • Solid positive outlook and can do attitude
  • Experience using collaborative software such as Jira, Trello, Basecamp or similar.
