The Art Gallery of South Australia

Established in 1881 and located on the cultural boulevard of Adelaide's North Terrace, the Art Gallery of South Australia is the state's premiere cultural institution and is among the most visited art museums in Australia.It's collecrtion of 38,000 works features Australian, European (incorporating art of the USA) and Asian art. In particular, the Gallery is home to a significant body of nineteenth century Australian art.
