Salvador Dali, the artist of the surreal, is inspiring many Turkish art lovers with the exhibition of his works "A Surrealist in Istanbul" which recently opened in the Sakip Sabanci Museum in Istanbul. An extraordinary exhibition was needed for artist who himself, was so extraordinary. Inspired by the Dali Museum built inside a theater in his native Spain, an imaginary favorite place has been designed and laid out in such a way as to illustrate Dali's inner thoughts and feelings. The combination of theatre and art creates a spiritual atmosphere which is interesting, attractive and educational. Visitors walk through the exhibition, which also includes a specially covered area of the Bosphorus façade salons, soaking up the Dali experience. Dali's strange fantasies, obsessions, metaphysical interests, his interpretation of the fourth dimension and his passion for his wife, Gala, are described on Espro-Acoustiguide's audio guide players which are provided to each visitor. Queues at the entrance to the museum are evidence of an exhibition that makes it possible for Turkish art lovers to enjoy exploring the work of a truly outstanding artist and his dreamy surrealist world. To further enhance the experience, conferences and education programs are available, along with audio guides in various languages.
